Day two at Mt. Cardigan

My day started with my bunk room waking up about 30 minutes too late, so we ran downstairs in order to make breakfast which we would soon be late for if we didnt hurry up. We sat on the couch on top of all or our friends and read a couple pages from Signes anime book before the breakfast bell was rung. We ate breakfast and ran up the stairs to get ready for our all day adventure.
<p>
Walk, stop, walk, stop. We had been passed and we had passed groups on this hiking trail that ***HUMANS*** had put there so that not only we could enjoy them, but way back when, people would be drawn by horse and buggy all the way up the mountain. We came across this really cool old foundation from when people used to live on the mountain. After we hiked a little more, we climbed up this huge rock and sat there to catch our breath and sketch the beautiful view. We got passed.. again. We started up again, and before we knew it, we were at a beautiful clearing and a unanimous vote decided to eat there. Even though were were very close to the summit of Firescrew, we were too hungry to continue. Oh, My, Gosh. It may have just been my hunger, but that was one of the best lunches ever. The soft bread, the crispy cookie, the spicy trail mix mmmmmmm. After that, a few of us stayed behind so that Mr. Woolner could give us a cool lesson. We looked at lichen, and balsam trees which really put me in the mood for Christmas. Then, after about 30 minutes, we reached our first peak. Andy led us on, because we werent even halfway done at that point, but the hardest part was over. We hiked the saddle between Cardigan and Firescrew, and noticed something really cool the summit of Cardigan was bald! Mr. Woolner told us that this was because there was a huge fire that burned all of the trees on the summit, and therefore, **PEOPLE** put the firetower on the top to protect against raging wildfires. I thought this was wicked cool. Right before we reached the summit, we had across a wicked dry alpine bog which we were not allowed to touch because all of the organisms on the top were very fragile. Then we hiked some more, and reached the top. We took some group pictures and headed on. Before we knew it, we had sumitted another mountain, Southpeak. We stopped and had a water break, sketch, and food, and me and some others in my group purposely complained a lot until Andy and Mr. Woolner had to yell at us to stop. Then we had a pee break, hiked, and finally reached the last summit- Rimrock. Then we hiked down and sung hannah montana.
